The Gorilla that Died Twice

Short Story (1650 words)

In a bar aboard a ferry to Tenerife the narrator hears a story from the barman about a prison escape from Dartmoor. A travelling circus performs beside the prison and the prisoner escapes in a gorilla suit. The punchline comes when the narrator works out the role the barman played in all this.
